The number of vacancies is yet to be released by the organization. The selected candidates will be appointed as Assistant Commandant in General Duty and Technical (Engineering & Electrical/ Electronics) Branches. Here we have added all the eligibility conditions an applicant must fulfil to be eligible for the ICG CGCAT Exam.
Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Educational Qualification Details
Applicants must have the following educational qualifications to apply for the different branches.
- For Assistant Commandant (General Duty): Those who have completed their 12th Class with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board with an aggregate 55% marks in both subjects and possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with a minimum of 60% marks are eligible for this post. Also, the candidates who have completed their graduation after completing a diploma in Physics and Mathematics with a minimum percentage as mentioned, can apply.
- For Technical Posts (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics): The applicants must have a Degree in Engineering with relevant subjects from a recognized university with 60% marks overall. They should have studied Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 Level and have 55% marks in aggregate in both subjects. ICG Assistant Commandant Vacancies Age Limit
The minimum age limit for ICG Assistant Commandant Recruitment is 21 years and the upper age limit is 25 years. Candidates must lie within these age limits as of 01 July 2024. There will be a provision of 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit for personnel serving in the Coast Guard.
Indian Coast Guard CGCAT- 01/2025 Examination Fee
All the candidates (Except SC/ ST candidates who are exempted from the payment of fees) will have to pay an application fee of ₹300/- to submit the ICG CGCAT 01/2025 Application Form. This examination fee must be paid by the candidates through an online mode of payment only.
