The Department published an official notification and invited online applications for a total of 995 vacant posts. The application process took place from 25 November to 15 December 2023. Further, the officials have released the examination schedule and issued IB ACIO Admit Cards to the eligible applicants.

The selection of the candidates for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (Grade II)/ Executive Posts is purely based on their performance in various recruitment phases. Only the candidates whose names and roll numbers will appear in the final merit list will be appointed as officers in IB. All the selection stages to be scheduled by the officials are given below.

IB ACIO Officer Exam Schedule
The IB ACIO Examination Schedule is now announced by the department. The officials have announced the examination date on the official site only. The examination for these posts will be conducted on 17, 18 January 2024. For conducting this exam, the authority has made 164 exam centres in various cities in the country. Applicants have to appear at the same centre to be given on their admit card.
Grade II Intelligence Officer Paper Pattern & Exam Scheme
- Tier I Written Examination will be an Offline OMR-Based Test.
- A total of 100 objective-type questions will be asked in the exam.
- Each question will carry one mark.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
- Candidates will get one hour to complete the examination.

The officials will call ten times candidates of total vacancies for this examination. Tier II Written Exam will be a descriptive test. Applicants have to write their answers in full length. This exam will carry a total of 50 marks.
