The Karnataka State Eligibility Test was successfully organized by the Karnataka Examination Authority. A large number of candidates participated in the exam held on 13 January 2024 at various examination centers across the state. The KSET Examination is an important exam for candidates who wish to become lecturers and assistant professors in the state of Karnataka. Each applicant must have qualified for this State Eligibility Test to apply for the Teacher’s Vacancies to be filled in the future.

The authority released an official notification for the KSET 2024 Exam on 05 September 2023 and invited online applications from eligible candidates. The online application process was scheduled from 10 September to 11 October 2023. As the exam has been conducted, further the officials are going to release the KSET Result.
KSET 2024 Exam Overview
The examination included two papers i.e. Paper I & Paper II. Only objective-type questions were asked in the exam. Each question carried two marks. Paper I consists of 100 MCQs to check the teaching and research aptitude of the candidate. Applicants were given two hours for the paper I.
Paper II consists of two parts including the subject-specific questions. For most of the subjects like Commerce, Kannada, and Economics there was a total of 50 questions. For other subjects such as Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications, and Electronic Science, there were 75 MCQs.
Karnataka SET Exam Result Preparation Process
The examination has been conducted successfully. Each applicant has submitted their answer sheets to the invigilators. Now the examination authority is evaluating the answers given by the candidates. Once the evaluation of each candidate is completed, the officials will inform the candidates about the KSET Result 2024. Applicants can download their scorecards through the official website as mentioned.
KSET 2024 Exam Qualifying Marks
Applicants will have to score marks equal to or more than the minimum qualifying marks to qualify for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test. These qualifying marks are disclosed by the examination authority and are given below.
- For General Category: 40% Marks
- For Cat- I, II-A, II-B, III-A, III-B, SC, ST, PWD Candidates: 35% Marks
Karnataka State Eligibility Test Merit List 2024
The Examination Authority will not release any merit list for the KSET Examination. Candidates will have to check their results through the official site of the authority. They can enter the required details and download their scorecards. With the help of these KSET scorecards, applicants can check their marks and qualifying status for the examination.
