Applicants must have passed the 10th Class Examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board of education in India along with an ITI Certificate in a related field from an NCVT Recognized Institution to apply for all the posts except for Medical Laboratory Technician Posts.
For MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) Posts, candidates must have passed the 12th Class Examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as one of the subjects with a minimum of 50% marks overall from a recognized board.
Note: Minimum Percentage in SSLC is not applicable for SC/ ST/ PWBD Candidates.
RRC Southern Railway Apprentice Age Limit
The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 22/ 24 years for Freshers/Ex-ITI, MLT respectively. The cut-off date for calculating the age limit is the same as on the notification is released i.e. 23 January 2024.
The Upper Age Limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC Candidates, 5 years for SC/ ST Candidates, and 10 years for Persons with Disability.
Chennai Railway Apprentice Application Fee
A processing fee of ₹100/- plus service charge as applicable is to be paid through online mode. The candidates from SC/ ST/ PWBD Categories and Women candidates are exempted from the payment of the application fee. All other candidates will have to pay this application fee to submit their application forms for the RRC SR Railway Apprentice Recruitment.

RRC SR Chennai Apprentice Selection Process
The Officials will publish a merit list for the selected candidates on the Southern Railway Official Site. This merit list will prepared by taking the average percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in both the Matriculation and ITI Examination giving equal weightage to both.
