Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission is going to conduct a written examination for Sub Inspector Posts in the State Police Department. As the registration process has been completed, BPSSC will release the Bihar Police SI Admit Cards a few days before the exam.
The Bihar Police Sub Inspector Written Examination is scheduled to be conducted on 17 December 2023. Candidates can download the BPSSC SI Admit Card through the official webpage of the commission at www.bpssc.bih.nic.in which will be available on 01 December 2023.

The commission received a large number of applications through its official website from 05 October to 05 November 2023. A total of 1275 Vacant Posts will be filled through this recruitment drive. The candidates selected in this recruitment will be appointed to the Sub Inspector Positions in Bihar Police.
Bihar Police SI Selection Process
The candidates will be selected through various selection phases as given below.
- Preliminary Exam
- Mains Exam
- PET/ PST Tests
- Final Merit List
In the first stage, the candidates have to appear in the Prelims Exam which will be held on 17 December 2023 in two shifts. Further, the commission will shortlist the candidates for the Main Exam. The applicants who qualified in both stages, have to clear all the Physical Efficiency Tests.
BPSSC Sub Inspector Exam Schedule
Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission will organize the written examination for Sub Inspector Posts. The Prelims Exam is scheduled to be conducted on 17 December 2023. This exam will take place in two shifts on the same day. Candidates will get more information about the exam venue on the BPSSC SI Admit Card.
Bihar Police SI Paper Pattern & Exam Scheme
- An offline OMR-Based Test will be conducted by the officials.
- There will be a total of 100 multiple-choice objective-type questions only.
- Each question will carry 02 Marks.
- The total duration of the exam is 02 Hours.
- Questions will be asked on General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
- The minimum qualifying mark for this examination is 30%.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.2 marks for each incorrect answer.
The main exam will consist of two parts i.e. Part I & Part II. The minimum qualifying mark for both parts is 30% only. Also, there is a negative marking of 0.2 marks. Here you may check the complete examination scheme.

BPSSC SI Admit Card Details
The Commission will release the BPSSC Sub Inspector Admit Card through the official webpage only. No admit cards will be sent to the candidates by post. It is compulsory to carry a printout of this call letter along with an original identity proof while going to the examination hall.
Applicants are also advised to download their call letters well in advance before the examination date and check the details to be mentioned on them. The candidates must verify their name, date of birth, roll number, father’s name, gender, category, examination venue, and all other details.
