West Bengal Public Service Commission is initiating a recruitment for various Group A, B, C & D Posts included in the Civil Services of the state. For the selection of deserving candidates for WBPSC WBCS Vacancies, the commission is going to organize the preliminary examination. Previously, the exam was scheduled for 05 November 2023 but now the officials have announced that this examination will be conducted on 16 December 2023
Applicants can download the WBPSC WBCS Admit Card at least 10 days before the prelims exam date. The commission will issue the call letters only through the official webpage at wbpsc.gov.in Candidates need to enter their application ID and password to access their admit cards. If any of the candidates have forgotten these details, they can retrieve the same with the help of a registered email ID or mobile number.

For the West Bengal Civil Services (Executive) Examination 2023, the official notification was released in the month of February. More than 3 Lakhs of candidates registered themselves between 28 February to 21 March 2023. Now all the eligible applicants will participate in the prelims examination.
West Bengal Civil Services Selection Process
The WBCS (Executive) Examination is a combined competitive examination for four groups of services. Candidates will be selected through various phases mainly including Written Test & Personality Test. The officials will conduct written tests in two parts i.e. Preliminary Examination and Mains Exam.
The Prelims Exam is only qualifying in nature and the qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the Main Exam. The exams scored by the candidate in prelims will not be considered for the final merit list. The following selection phases will be scheduled.

Candidates who will be selected for appointment will be required to appear before a Medical Board for certificates of their fitness for Government Services in the form prescribed for the purpose.
WBCS Prelims Examination Schedule
Previously, the commission released that the prelims examination for the civil services would be conducted on 05 November 2023 but the exam was postponed. Now this examination is scheduled to be conducted on 16 December 2023 and WBPSC WBCS Admit Card will be released a few days before the examination date. We will inform you as soon as the officials make any new announcements.
WBPSC Civil Services (Exe.) Paper Pattern
- The Prelims Exam will consist of only one paper.
- Questions will be asked on General Studies.
- The exam will include a total of 200 multiple-choice questions.
- Each question will carry one mark.
- There will be a negative marking for each incorrect answer, to be announced later.
- Candidates will be given 2 Hours & 30 Minutes to complete the exam.

WBCS Prelims Admit Card is an essential document to carry at the examination venue.
