Bihar Teacher Posts Educational Qualification Details
- For Primary Teacher Posts (Class 1 to 5): The candidates must have passed the 12th Class Examination with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board of education and have a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed or B.El.Ed from any institute recognized by the Government. Along with this academic qualification, an applicant must have passed the CTET/ BTET Paper I.
- For Middle School Teacher Posts (Class 6 to 8): An applicant should have a Graduation Degree along with a B.Ed or B.El.Ed from a recognized university or institution. To be eligible for BPSC Teacher Vacancies, candidates must have passed the CTET/ BTET Paper II.
- For Secondary Teachers (Class 9-10): The applicants must have done their Graduation and B.Ed./ B.El.Ed along with STET Paper II Passed to apply for these posts.
- For Higher Secondary Teacher (Class 11-12): To apply for these posts, the candidates must have completed their Post Graduation from a recognized university along with a B.Ed./ B.El.Ed. Also, they should have passed the STET Paper II.
BPSC PRT, TGT, PGT Teacher Age Limit
The minimum age limit for the primary teacher posts is 18 years and for other posts 21 years. The maximum age limit for all the posts is 37 years for general category male candidates. Applicants must lie within these age limits as of 01 August 2023. There will be a relaxation in the upper age limit for other candidates as given below.
- For UR Female/ BC/ EBC Candidates: 40 years
- For SC/ ST Categories: 42 years
BPSC Bihar Teaching Posts Application Fee
All the applicants will have to pay an examination fee to submit their application forms for the BPSC Bihar Teacher Recruitment. The following fee must be paid by the candidates through an online mode of payment.
- For UR Female/ SC/ ST/ PWD Candidates: ₹200/-
- For General & Other Candidates: ₹750/-
Along with this examination fee, applicants will also have to pay a biometric fee of ₹200/- to complete their registration.

BPSC Bihar Teachers Selection Process
The selection of the candidates is based on the Written Examination. No interview will be conducted for any of the posts. The Commission will shortlist the candidates based on their marks in the written exam. The selected applicants will have to clear the document verification process further.
