The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda organized the Gujarat State Eligibility Test for the year 2023. The examination was scheduled on 26 November 2023 and conducted successfully at 11 examination centers across the state. For GSET 2023, the online registration process started on 21 August and concluded on 16 September 2023. After receiving a large number of applications, the university issued the admit cards to the eligible candidates and conducted the 17th edition of the Gujarat State Eligibility Test. The examination was conducted on 33 subjects at 11 Centres spread across Gujarat state. Now the GSET Result will be announced in the form of a pdf on the official site.

A candidate who has already qualified for GSET in a subject will not be allowed to appear again for GSET in the same subject. The candidates violating this rule are detected by GSET/ UGC at any stage, their candidature and GSET certificate will be cancelled.
Gujarat SET Examination Overview
- An OMR-Based Offline Test was conducted as the GSET.
- The Exam carried a total of 300 marks.
- The exam was divided into two sections i.e. Paper I of 100 marks and Paper II of 200 marks overall.
- A total of 150 objective-type questions were asked in the exam and each question carried 2 marks.
- There was no negative marking in the exam.
GSET Result Preparation Process
The officials are evaluating the answer sheets provided by the candidates. Candidates will be given marks according to the solutions given in the GSET Answer Key. Once the evaluation is completed, the university will release the Gujarat SET Result 2023. Candidates can check their respective results with the help of the links we have added below.
Minimum Qualifying Marks for GSET 2024
The minimum qualifying marks for the Gujarat State Eligibility Test are mentioned in the official notification. The applicants who want to qualify for the GSET Examination 2023 need to secure marks equal to or more than these cut-off marks. The candidates from General/ EWS Categories have to score 40% marks and for other reserved categories, this criteria will be 35%.
All the candidates cannot check their scores individually. The officials will only issue certificates to the qualified candidates. No hard copy of the eligibility certificate will be provided to the individuals. Applicants have to download their certificates from the official site by themselves.
Gujarat SET 2024 Merit List
The University will not publish any merit list for the qualified candidates. Only certificates will be issued to the qualified candidates. Each applicant has to download their eligibility certificate by themselves.
