LBS Centre for Science and Technology has conducted the Kerala State Eligibility Test. A large number of candidates participated in the exam at various examination venues across the state. To ensure the standards of teaching in Higher Secondary Schools, the State Government has decided to conduct the SET Examination. The test is conducted for a total of 36 different subjects twice a year all over Kerala. An official notification for Kerala SET 2024 was released on 18 September 2023.
Online applications were received from eligible candidates from 25 September to 05 November 2023. The officials issued admit cards to the candidates on 08 January 2024 and the examination was successfully conducted on 21 January 2024. Kerala State Eligibility Test Overview
The Kerala SET Examination included two papers. Paper I is common for all candidates. It consists of two parts General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude. There was a total of 120 questions asked in this paper, 60 for each part. Each question carried one mark. Candidates were given 2 hours to complete this paper.
Paper II was based on the subject of specialization of the candidate at the Post-Graduate Level. There were also 120 questions, each carried one mark, asked in the exam except for Mathematics & Statistics. For these subjects, there were 80 questions, carrying 1.5 marks each, in the exam.
Kerala SET Result Preparation Process
The Examination Authority is working on the evaluation of answers submitted by each candidate. Once this evaluation is completed, the officials will shortlist the candidates based on their marks and release the Kerala SET Result. Each applicant will have to secure marks more than the minimum passing marks as given below.
Kerala SET 2024 Minimum Qualifying Marks
Only those candidates will be considered as SET Qualified Candidates, who score marks equal to or more than the minimum qualifying marks. These marks vary for different categories and are decided by the officials. Here we have added Kerala SET Minimum Passing Marks as given in the table.
