Kolkata Police Sub Inspector Recruitment Notification was issued in August 2023 by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board. After the release of the Kolkata Police SI Vacancy Notification, the Recruitment Board has invited online applicants for 309 vacancies of Sub Inspector and Sergeant. The process of application submission for these posts was completed by 21 September 2023. After the application process, the written examination was conducted on 28 January 2024.
Kolkata Police SI Exam Overview
The Kolkata Police SI exam was structured to evaluate the aptitude and subject knowledge of the candidates. This OMR-based test comprised sections including General Knowledge, Logical & Analytical Reasoning, and Arithmetic questions. The exam was conducted offline, adhering to strict guidelines and invigilation to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
- The examination consisted of 100 MCQs.
- Each question was asked for 2 marks.
- There was a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer given by the candidates.
- A time duration of 90 minutes was given to complete this test.
Kolkata Police Answer Key Objection Process
The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board will release the Kolkata Police Sub Inspector Answer Key in two phases. First, the department will issue the provisional answer key for Kolkata Police SI Exam. After releasing the provisional key the Recruitment Board will provide a chance to the participants to submit objections against the provisional key.
