Maharashtra Revenue Department (mahabhumi) has conducted the written exam for the posts of Talathi and Stenographers. The examination was conducted as a computer-based test from 17 August to 14 September 2023 across the state.

The exam was conducted from 17 August 2023 to 14 September 2023. Nearly 10 lakh candidates took the examination and now are waiting eagerly for the result declaration. Though the government has not released the official date for it; however, it will be released in the month of November 2023.

- The exam was conducted online by TCS and no pen and paper test was conducted for the same.
- The exam had a total of 100 questions, each of 2 marks.
- There was no negative marking in case of a wrong answer.
- The time given to candidates to complete the exam was 120 minutes.
- The difficulty level for the Marathi examination was high school level; however, for other subjects, it was of degree level.
Maha Talathi Result Preparation Process
The authority concerned released the provisional answer key on the official website on 28 September 2023. Candidates can cross-check their answers and if they want to raise an objection they can do so. However, a fee of ₹100 must be submitted for challenging it. The organization went through their objections and if a mistake were found in the temporary answer key, then a final answer key would have been published but if there were none, then the same answer key would have been re-published.

The cut-off depends on various factors like the total number of candidates appearing for the examination and, the difficulty of the exam, the highest and lowest scores. Talathi Exam Merit List
The merit list will be released after the assessment of two phases. The first is the written examination, the candidates are asked to take the examination and only the eligible ones, who clear it will be called for the next stage.
