Union Public Service Commission has published an official notification for the National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I), 2024. Candidates can check out the details given in the advertisement and submit their application forms through the official website of the commission at upsc.gov.in
The online application process started on 20 December 2023. Candidates must note that the last date to fill out and submit a form for this examination is 09 January 2024. Applicants must fill out all the details in the UPSC NDA Application Form very carefully. They will get only one chance in a lifetime to edit the details filled in One Time Registration.
UPSC conducts this examination twice a year. The NDA I 2024 Examination is scheduled to be conducted on 21 April 2024 for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force Wings of the NDA for the 153rd course and the 115th Indian Naval Academy Course commencing from 02 January 2025.

UPSC NDA Educational Qualifications
- For the Army Wing of the National Defence Academy: Candidates must have completed their 12th Class or its equivalent qualification from a recognized board of education in India.
- For the Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Applicants must have passed the 12th Class Examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognized board.
- Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 Pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.
NDA I 2024 Examination Age Limit
Only unmarried male and female candidates born not earlier than 02 July 2005 and not later than 01 July 2008 are eligible to apply for the NDA I 2024 Examination.
National Defence Academy Entrance Test Application Fee
Candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories will have to pay an application fee of ₹100/- to submit their application forms. This fee can be paid by any Online Mode of Payment or applicants can also “Pay By Cash“. In the pay-by-cash method, applicants have to pay the fee at the fee counter of the SBI Branch on the next working day only.
Pay By Cash mode will be deactivated at 23:59 Hours of 08 January 2024 i.e. One day before the closing date. Online payment of the application fee can be done till 06:00 PM of 09 January 2024. The applicants who belong to SC/ ST Categories, Wards of JCOs/ NCOs/ ORs, and the female applicants are exempted from the payment of the application fee.
