Questions asked in Paper I intended to assess the teaching and research aptitude of the applicants. Paper II carried 100 objective-type questions based on the specific subjects chosen by the candidates. So the examination was conducted for a total of 150 marks. There was no negative marking for wrong answers given by the candidates.
WB SET Result Preparation Process
The commission will release the SET Question Papers, and Answer Keys first. Then the officials will evaluate the answer sheets submitted by the candidates. Applicants will be given marks as per the solutions given in the answer key. After evaluating the answer sheet of each candidate, the examination authority will decide the cut-off percentage criteria and then shortlist the candidates based on their marks. Then the officials will issue eligibility certificates to the qualified candidates.
West Bengal State Eligibility Test Cut-off Marks Score
WBCSC will release a subject-wise cum category-wise cut-off percentage on its official site. These are the minimum qualifying marks an applicant needs to qualify for this exam. To qualify for this exam, candidates from the General & EWS Category should have to score 40% aggregate marks in both the papers and for Reserved Categories (SC, ST, OBC) this criterion is 35% marks only. These are the only minimum passing marks.
The commission will decide the cut-off marks based on various factors. Each candidate must score marks equal to or more than these cut-off marks to get the eligibility certificate.
