The West Bengal Board of Primary Education will conduct WB TET 2023 in the next month. The Primary Education Board will release the WB TET 2023 Admit card for the exam on its official website. The exam will be conducted on 24 December across the state. Candidates can download the WBTET Admit Card at least 10 days before the exam.

The board released its notification on September 13, 2023, and its online application started on September 14 2023 and ended on October, 4 2023. The examination will be conducted in many centers across the state.

It is a state-level examination that an individual must take to be eligible as a candidate to become a primary teacher in government schools. A few private schools also asked for this examination. There are 16,500 state-wide vacancies for the position of primary school teacher.
WB TET 2023 Admit Card is very important because it includes details like the test-taker’s name, roll number, the location of the exam centre, and the exam date and time. WB TET 2023 Exam Schedule
The board will conduct the examination on December 10 2023. It will be conducted in two sessions. The morning session will start at 9:30 A.M. and will end at 12:00 P.M., whereas the afternoon or the evening session will start at 2:00 P.M. and end at 4:30 P.M.
There will be two distinct papers: those who wish to become upper primary teachers or elementary classes will need to give paper 2, which will be conducted in the afternoon, whereas those who want to teach classes I to V are supposed to give paper 1, which is going to be conducted in the morning session.
Appearing candidates are requested to go to the examination venue at least an hour before, with their admit card and verification ID. Latecomers and those without the documents will not be given entry.
WB TET 2023 Paper Pattern
The paper pattern for both exams is a bit different and the level of difficulty also varies. The time given for both examinations is 3 hours.
Paper – 1
The examination is Multiple Choice Based. There will be five sections Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (English), Language II (Bengali), Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Each subject contains 30 questions, the total number of questions will be 150, with each correct answer carrying 1 mark. There is no negative marking.
Paper – 2
This examination is also Multiple Choice Based; however, it is divided into four sections: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (English), Language II (Bengali), and Mathematics & Science or Social Studies for respective teacher specializations.
