The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) is an important examination for educators aspiring to join teaching jobs in Haryana’s government schools. This test is organized by the Board of School Education Haryana to assess the aptitude and eligibility of candidates for various teaching positions.
The Educational Department of Haryana has released the HTET Exam Date along with the HTET Notification. As per this notification, HTET 2023 will be scheduled for 02 and 03 December 2023. The candidates can check HTET Exam Date notice here.

The Board of School Education Haryana issued the HTET Notification on 30 October. The Board has invited online applications from interested candidates from 30 October to 11 November 2023. This period was crucial for candidates to register and ensure their eligibility for the upcoming examination.

After completing the registration, the department is now planning to conduct the written exam for the same. HTET Exam Date has already been declared by the officials through its official portal. The examination will be conducted on two different days on 02 & 03 December 2023 and HTET Admit Card for the same will be released on 24 November.
HTET Exam Pattern for TGT, PGT, and PRT
The HTET exam pattern for Primary Teacher (PRT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) is given below-
Level 1 – Primary Teacher (PRT)
- In the HTET PRT level exam, the questions will be asked from 5 sections-
- Child Development and Pedagogy
- Languages (Hindi and English)
- General Studies (including Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Haryana GK and Awareness)
- Mathematics
- Environmental Studies
- Each section comprises 30 multiple-choice questions.
- The paper will consist of 150 questions for 150 marks.
- The exam duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Level 2 – Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT)
- The questions will be asked from the following sections-
- Child Development and Pedagogy
- Languages (Hindi 15 MCQs & English 15 MCQs)
- General Studies (Quantitative Aptitude 10 MCQs, Reasoning Ability 10 MCQs, Haryana GK and Awareness 10 MCQs)
- Subject Specific Questions
- A total of 60 questions will be Subject-specific and the remaining 90 questions will be asked from other sections.
- The time allotted for this exam is also 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Level 3 – Post Graduate Teachers (PGT)
- The PGT level mirrors the TGT structure, with an emphasis on advanced subject-specific knowledge.
- The exam consists of 150 questions, with 60 being dedicated to the chosen subject.
- Candidates have 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the test.
Haryana TET Admit Card Details
The admit card is an important document for the candidates who are going to appear in the HTET Exam. It contains essential details like the candidate’s name, roll number, exam centre, and timings. Candidates must follow certain below given guideline on the exam day-
- Arriving early at the exam centre is advised to avoid last-minute hassles.
- Essential documents, including the admit card and a valid ID proof, must be carried.
- Electronic devices are strictly prohibited in the exam hall.
- Carrying extra copies of documents can be helpful in case of emergencies.
